The Wrong Colosseum Is Now Available!
Usually I publish a post every Wednesday at 11:11am, but I’ve missed writing a few because I was deep into final edits for something else: my first Margaret, the Flight Attendant Adventure novel!

I’m so proud of this project! It has evolved from a blog post right here just a few months ago, into a draft that I liked but didn’t LOVE (Bottle to Throttle, you saw chapter one) and now finally a 52k word novel, named “The Wrong Colosseum.”
It took getting unstuck from trying to write an interesting story about ‘what actually happened.’ I was encouraged to think about what is enjoyable and plausible, and then focus on the entertainment value of the story. Once I understood that the story didn’t need to be a perfect reflection of reality, and instead recognized that it could just write, in my storytelling style, a fictionalized memoir…Y’all the excitement had me by the throat! MOTIVATED. Could not stop writing. So lost in the sauce, it was hard to get my brain to stop when it was time to go to bed for the last few weeks.
I rewrote the story to include a cozy little mystery, and made the main male character more clearly available and charming. I’m already writing the outline for the next novel, concurrently with a handful of other story ideas, just to get them out of my head. I think I’m going to share those in the coming weeks to get a sense for which one you’d rather read next!
Currently, it’s only available on kindle because I self-published it. I’m planning to figure out how to get it to kobo, nook and on bookshop.org in the next few months.
Please let me know if you read the book (affiliate link), I would love to know what you liked about it!
